The only way I can get my brand new desktop back online is to unplug & replug my external wireless adapter and restart the whole computer.(I have gone through every troubleshooter on Windows 7 available to no avail- it always ends up telling me that my network connection is broken or not plugged in properly) There HAS to be a better way and Geek Squad has been here 2 times in 4 days trying to get my system set up. Too bad I didn't make them wait until my computer went to sleep and come back on. Hi SarahEmily, Please check if your wireless adapter is compatible with Windows 7 in Microsoft Compatibility Center. Open Device Manager by clicking on start, type devmgmt.msc and press enter. Double click on Network adapters and check if there is any warning symbol beside your wireless adapter.
Whenever I close Chrome accidentally and need to recover my tabs, I first have to open a tab (pressing Ctrl+T for the New Tab Page is easiest) before pressing Ctrl+⇧ Shift+T to get the previous.
Yellow warning symbol indicates firmware has to be updated or some settings have to be changed to get it work perfectly. Red warning symbol indicates that there is some problem with your wireless adapter, possibly the device would not be compatible if you find this warning symbol. Right click on your Network card adapter, and select Properties, under properties, go to Driver tab and click on Update Driver, this step to be carried out if you see a yellow symbol beside your wireless network card adapter. Please see the link below for more information on how to update a driver for hardware that isn’t working properly.
